Complete brush review: brushes in order from best to worst:

1. EZ Detangler Brush: PURCHASED: borrowing my sisters but will purchase | DETANGLES: very well | SHEDDING: minimum to none | PROS: very easy to grip

2. Michel Mercier Detangler: PURCHASED: over 1 year ago | DETANGLES: very well | SHEDDING: minimum to medium | CONS: hard to grip

3.Evolve Detangler: PURCHASED: almost 1 year ago | DETANGLES: fairly well | SHEDDING: medium shedding | PROS/CONS: very easy to grip BUT can be rough on the hair AND my hair broke the brush.

 4. Denman Brush: PURCHASED: 6 months ago | DETANGLES: poorly to well. It's not a detangler. It is a curl definer | SHEDDING: medium to maximum shedding | CONS: it is IMPOSSIBLE to grip that brush for my hair type. It is not sturdy enough to detangle thick hair. I had to wrap a bunch of rubber bands around the base to give me grip, but ultimately I gave up on the brush to curl define or detangle because I don't have time for hands to start cramping!
