BMW S1000XR - Fitting an Akrapovic Exhaust and Headers. Matt Ventures

Since I decided to keep the S1000XR for at least another year, I bit the bullet and bought a new Exhaust system to replace the Ugly standard system.

The headers are S1000RR, US std I think cos the Cat is much smaller than euro, and the end can is Akrapovic S1000RR. It's much lighter than the standard units, although I didn't weigh, it probably saves 5-8KG.
The previous owner had a mounting bracket made which replaces the rear footpeg so you get the upswept look, which is way better looking than the std cans on these bikes.

It sounds spot on, much deeper, but not super loud.
I just need to remove the servo motor cables as the mounting position is different on the rear valve so they don't fit.
