Rear Oxygen Sensor Replacement P0136 HD | After Catalytic Converter Oxygen Sensor

How to replace the rear oxygen sensor P0136. The rear oxygen sensor is also known as sensor 2 or after the catalytic converter. This was performed on a 1997 Nissan Maxima. Please check with your vehicle's repair manual for testing parameters.

The rear heated oxygen sensor, after three way catalyst, monitors the oxygen level in the exhaust gas. The sensor is made of ceramic zirconia. The electrical resistance of ceramic zirconia drastically changes at the ideal air-fuel ratio.
