Michele Bullock gave Treasurer an excuse to have a ‘boring budget’
Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell says he is “certain” Treasurer Jim Chalmers will increase the Commonwealth rent assistance in the budget.
This comes as Mr Chalmers prepares to hand down the federal budget next week.
“They did that by 15 per cent last year. I reckon he is going to do that next Tuesday night as well,” Mr Clennell said.
“But there’s not much else he can do.
“If anyone gave him an excuse to have a boring budget, it was Michele Bullock yesterday.”
