Your brain on tools: Mag Ruffman at TEDxWaterloo 2013
In this hillarious talk, actor, author and contractor Mag Ruffman is chasingHOME with a fully loaded toolbox.
She's a home handy woman with a quirky attitude and she wears more than an undershirt. Mag Ruffman is a television producer, writer, actress and building contractor. She spent seven years in a corset as "Olivia Dale" on CBC's and Disney's Road to Avonlea, and five seasons in a tool belt as host, creator and producer of the fix-it classic A Repair to Remember and the workshop series Anything I Can Do. She also created and hosted the wildly popular relationship show Men On Women for W Network in Canada and authored We're All In This Together, which is based on conversations with Red Green (Steve Smith) and How Hard Can it Be?, a guide to home repairs for beginners.
These days Mag is mad about the connection between using tools and how it makes for better brains and better kids. Check out her brain...she has it on display.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
