Dr. Gene Nasser is a history teacher at Edison High School. With a PhD in philosophy, he is passionate about stoicism, the ancient Roman concept of focusing on the present rather than dwelling on the past. In this talk, Dr. Nasser reminds us of the benefits of stoicism, considering the mental stress of the pandemic. Eugene Nasser has been a history teacher at Edison High School for fifteen years and also teaches philosophy at Middlesex County College. He spends his free time reading, writing, and playing disc golf. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
