Life in a cage is an expository documentary based on the topic of the exponential increase in forced marriages in Pakistan. Forced marriage is a relationship in which men and women are forced into marriage without their consent or against their will. This forced relation made their lives miserable and downhearted which often leads to divorce and sometimes suicide. According to UNICEF, Pakistan ranks sixth in the number of underaged forced marriages.
This documentary puts light on the rising issue of forced marriages in Pakistan. Whenever a social change is needed in a society, it comes from the behavior of the people of society, and behavior changes when the mindset changes. Through this documentary, we try to change the mindset so they can change
from despair to dignity
from pain to pleasure
from cage to freedom
