Let's take a look at the new Snapshot updates available this week for Minecraft 1.9 the Combat Update (15w38a & 15w38b) and run down the list of new features & fixes added, including Skeleton Horses appearing in Vanilla to tame, smarter Skeletons that now walk, strafe, & shoot at the same time, as well as move towards or away from players to survive longer, new idle sounds for Skeletons, Lightning spawning in a "SkeletonTrap" skeletal horse that summons the spooky "4 Skeleton Horsemen of the Apocalypse" mini-boss, regular horses having a chance to trigger a Skeleton Trap, improvements to Mob AI, tamed Wolves and Ocelot Cat pets now announcing their death message in the chat even if unnamed, Villagers now planting Beetroot Seeds & sharing Beetroot to breed, increased drop chance for Wheat Seeds, Potatoes, Carrots, & Beetroot Seeds for farming, Fire now stays burning longer in the rain, and a "Times Slept in Bed" stat. Also, lots of optimizations & bug fixes. Thanks for watching guys...1.9 is already shaping up to be amazing!
