'Real will to live': I Wish I Win's journey from born with deformed front legs to The Everest
Waikato Stud’s Mark Chittick talks about the journey of racing horse I Wish I Win from being born with deformed front legs to competing in The Everest.
“He had a real will to live," Mr Chittick told Racing Dreams.
“We just took him through quietly and each step treated him as a normal horse.
"Genuinely, when we went over from New Zealand to Australia, we thought we were heading over for the second-tier sort of stuff.
“When he won his first up in Melbourne and then when he won the rest of the races, it is like, he’s not second-tier stuff, he deserves the opportunity for bigger and better."
