Husband of teacher killed in Texas school shooting ’dies of grief’ - BBC News

The husband of one of the teachers killed in Tuesday's mass shooting in Uvalde, Texas, has reportedly died of a heart attack.

Joe Garcia was the husband of Irma Garcia, who taught for 23 years at Robb Elementary School, and was one of 21 people killed by a teenage gunman.

The couple - who were married for 24 years - are survived by four children, with an online fundraiser for the Garcia family raising nearly $1.6m (£1.3m) by Thursday night.
