Painting a Master Copy after John Singer Sargent

A study after Sargent's portrait of John Ridgely Carter. This portrait interested me because of the range of skin tones that create the forms of the head. I wasn't quite able to get the effect but it was fun trying to search for all the various hues in the original. Thanks for watching and please subscribe and share if you enjoyed the video.

Materials I used:
Linen with acrylic primer, walnut oil, liquin, Oil colors (titanium white, lead white, cadmium yelllow light and med, cadmium red light, alizarin crimson, burnt sienna, burnt umber, ivory black, chrome oxide green, cerulean blue, ultramarine blue), Nylon, bristle and sable brushes,
