Independent Label Market 2013

The Vinyl Factory team up with the fantastic Independent Label Market to release 10 singles by 10 artists on 10 labels to raise money for Oxfam's Syria Crisis Appeal.

Talking place in sweltering conditions on Saturday 13th July, the Independent Label Market returned to London for a day of trading, where heads from over 70 labels came to sell their products directly to their fans. On the shop floor amid the market bustle, The Vinyl Factory captured the party atmosphere as the likes of established indies XL, Domino and Ninja Tune rubbed shoulders with smaller imprints like Tape Club and Angular Recordings.

In danger of stealing the show, Swamp81 capitalised on the hype surrounding the release of Loefah's first new material in 5 years, with queues of optimistic punters forming from 5am to get hold on one of just 50 copies, which were released as part of ILM and The Vinyl Factory's special edition series to raise money for Oxfam's Syria Crisis Appeal.

That said, the other nine releases certainly didn't play second fiddle, with Damon Albarn's collaboration with Fresh Touch and a Four Tet remix of Beth Orton's "Carmella" also proving popular.
