Ostatni ludzie Czarnobyla to emocjonalny film dokumentalny pokazujący życie samosiołów - ostatnich ludzi, którzy do dziś żyją w Strefie Zamkniętej utworzonej po katastrofie elektrowni jądrowej w 1986 roku. W ich opuszczonych wioskach nie ma bieżącej wody czy sklepu, często brak energii elektrycznej, a oni sami walczą z narastającymi problemami podeszłego wieku. Pomimo trzech dekad spędzonych niemalże w samotności ukazują obraz człowieczeństwa zapomniany w rozwiniętym świecie.

"Tu nie ma miesiąca bez śmierci" - mawiają, dodając, że co chwila ktoś umiera i że wkrótce również nadejdzie. Do dziś zostało ich już nie więcej niż 50 i prawdopodobnie w ciągu następnych kilku lat nie zostanie już niemalże nikt. Dlatego są to Ostatni ludzie Czarnobyla.

Film został zrealizowany podczas akcji humanitarnej zorganizowanej przez grupę Napromieniowani.pl, której celem było dotarcie do wszystkich samosiołów i udzielenie im pomocy materialnej, ale przede wszystkim poświęcając im swoją uwagę. Bo choć w opuszczonym świecie niewiele jest, to ze wszystkiego najbardziej brakuje zwykłego kontaktu z drugim człowiekiem.

The Last People of Chernobyl is an emotional documentary showing the lives of samosely - people who still live in the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone, created after the 1986 nuclear power plant disaster. In their abandoned villages, there is no running water or stores, often no electricity. Many of them are fighting the hardships of old age. Despite three decades spent almost alone, they show a picture of humanity forgotten in the developed world.

"There is no month without death here," they say, adding that every now and then someone dies and that it will soon come for them as well. Today, there are no more than 50 of them left and probably almost all of them will be gone in the next few years. That is why they are the last people of Chernobyl.

The film was made during a humanitarian action organized by the Napromieniowani.pl group, whose goal was to reach all samosely and provide them with help, but first of all devoting their attention to them. Because although, there is not much in an abandoned world, the simplest contact with other people is most missing.
