Perpetuum mobile rolling ball sculpture

This unique handmade desktop sculpture is made by Boris Atanasovski. It´s made entirely of stainless steel and polished to a shine. It´s designed to fit on desk, table or a shelf. It uses 25 mm (1") glass balls (marbles). Every ball triggers the release mechanism at the bottom that releases the next ball from the top. This cycle repeats until all the balls reach the bottom where can be easily extracted by pressing the leaver.
Balls are then reloaded by hand. When fully loaded it operates autonomously for 4 minutes and 14 seconds.

Perpetuum mobile is just a name for this sculpture. I do not claim it uses perpetual motion to operate. It does not violate the first or second law of thermodynamics.
