Il mestiere del fotoreporter è duro, difficile. Viaggia attraverso paesi lontani, devastati dalle guerre. Assiste ai combattimenti in prima linea e rischia spesso la vita. Si lascia alle spalle una famiglia, dei figli, e ritrova nei bambini che incontra sotto i bombardamenti gli stessi sorrisi che lo aspettano a casa. Gabriele Micalizzi, fotografo di guerra, racconta momenti di gioia e di dolore, di crisi e di grande umanità che accompagnano la vita di chi ha scelto per professione di documentare il male. Per fare in modo che le guerre non accadano mai più.

The impossible balance of war.

Photojournalists have a tough, difficult job. They travel through distant countries, ravaged by war. They witness fighting on the front line and often risk their lives. They leave behind their families and children, and in the kids they meet in bombed locations they find the same smiles that await them at home. The war photographer Gabriele Micalizzi recounts moments of joy and pain, of crisis and great humanity that dot the lives of those who choose to document evil as their profession. internazionali. È uno dei fondatori del collettivo italiano Cesura, con il fotografo Alex
Majoli.
Nel 2011 inizia a documentare tutti gli eventi legati alla "Primavera Araba". Nel 2019,
durante l'offensiva curda nella zona di Baghuz contro l'ultimo bastione dell'Isis, viene
ferito da un razzo RPG. Nel 2020, in Libia copre l'arrivo delle truppe turche inviate
per aiutare il presidente Al Sarraj a resistere all'attacco del generale Haftar. Nello
stesso anno, segue la pandemia nelle zone più colpite d'Italia.

Gabriele Micalizzi is an Italian photojournalist, he collaborates with national and
international newspapers. He is one of the founders of the Italian collective Cesura,
with the photographer Alex Majoli.
In 2011 he began to reporting all the events related to the "Arab Spring". In 2019,
during the Kurdish offensive in the Baghuz area against the last bastion of Isis, he
was wounded by an RPG rocket. In Libya he cover the arrival of Turkish troops sent
to help President Al Sarraj resist General Haftar's attack. In 2020 it followed the
