Lviv railway station has not seen such influx of people even at the height of tourist season. People affected by the Russian invasion come to Lviv from all over Ukraine in search of refuge, and the way to other European countries. As at 5 March, 63,600 people had settled in the region.

People give out free tea and food at the train station. There are no plays in theaters but there are sleeping bags instead of chairs. Administrative Service Centres work non-stop as humanitarian centers.

Strangers from various walks of life share their emotions: fear, confusion, hope and gratitude for any help. They all ask the same questions: “What happens next? How can we survive in these conditions? When will we get the chance to go home?”
