Marjai Kamilla szenvedélybeteg segítő, addiktológiai témájú ismeretterjesztő cikkek szerzője, óraadó oktató. A Vízből katicát? című könyv társszerzője. Doktori értekezése a gyógypedagógia és az addiktológia közti határkeresésről szól.
2017-ben az 50 Tehetséges Magyar Fiatal program díjazottja, ugyanebben az évben újságíró minőségben Antistigma-díjat kapott. Kész felemelni a hangját, ha a függőség tabuit kell ledönteni, a szenvedélybetegekkel folytatott munkájában pedig elcsendesítő alázatra inti magát.
​​Előadásában arra világít rá, hogy az egyén függőségét a körülötte élő család is megszenvedi, éppen ezért a függő közeli hozzátartozói számára az öngondozás közel sem önzés, inkább a léthez szükséges alap. Hogyan vagyunk érintettek mindannyian a függőség témájában? Mit tehetünk, ha úgy tűnik, nem tehetünk semmit? Hogyan lehet a tehetetlenségben erő és remény? – Kamilla beszédéből válaszokra találhatunk. She is the co-author of the book “Ladybug from Water?” ('Vízből katicát?'). Her doctoral thesis studied the boundaries between special needs education and addictionology. She was featured in the '50 Talented Hungarian Young People' program in 2017 and received an 'Anti-Stigma Award' as a journalist. She is ready to raise her voice to break the taboos of addiction. At the same time, she strives to remain humble in her work with patients with addiction disorder.
In her talk she higlights the fact that the family of people with addiction disorders also suffer, therefore close relatives should care for themselves, too. This talk was given on December 2, 2021.
