A few weeks ago I noticed that the finish on my nearly brand new Majesty was starting to flake off. When I contacted Sterling about the issue, they were dismissive and told me that it wasn't covered by their warranty (even though I was not interested in the warranty). I just wanted some sort of explanation as to why the almost $1k guitar that is less than a year old had its finish flaking off. And to show how flimsy and poorly applied the matte finish to my guitar was, I decided to scrape it off with a guitar pick.

DO NOT DO THIS TO YOUR GUITAR. I'm simply making a point, and plan to have it professionally painted and finished soon.
