Under the hood of the 2019 Porsche Cayenne there is a 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 that delivers 335 hp (250 kW) and 332 lb-ft of torque, offering a significant Improvement in performance as compared to the naturally aspirated engine in the preceding model. The Cayenne accelerates from zero to 60 mph in 5.9 seconds (or 5.6 seconds with the Sport Chrono Package), and achieves a top track speed of up to 152 mph. The starting line-up is comprised of three models. With its 404 kW (550 hp) biturbo eight-cylinder engine and the driving dynamics of a sports car, the Cayenne Turbo is heading up the new Porsche Cayenne generation. In figures: The car accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in 4.1 seconds (or 3.9 seconds with the Sport Chrono Package), and achieves a top speed of 286 km/h. The Cayenne S is powered by a 2.9-litre, 324 kW (440 hp) biturbo-charged V6 engine. From a standing start, the Cayenne S reaches 100 km/h in 5.2 seconds. With the optional Sport Chrono Package, this is reduced to 4.9 seconds. The maximum speed is 265 km/h. The Cayenne with six-cylinder turbo engine and a displacement of three litres delivers 250 kW (340 hp) of power, That means that even the standard model achieves outstanding driving performance. The Porsche Cayenne accelerates to 100 km/h in just 6.2 seconds, or just 5.9 seconds with the Sport Chrono Package, and achieves a top speed of 245 km/h.

Sport Chrono Package with PSM Sport available for the Cayenne Just like in the 911, the driver selects the driving mode via the mode switch on the steering wheel. In addition to Normal, Sport and Sport Plus modes, the driver can also select the “Individual Mode.” Performance Start is available in Sport Plus mode for optimum acceleration from a standstill. This optimizes all chassis systems for performance, and if equipped, sinks the air suspension to the lowest level.

The Sport Response button in the center of the mode switch offers maximum responsiveness for 20 seconds or until the button is pushed a second time within that period. The instrument cluster shows the driver how long the Sport Response function will remain active via a countdown timer. The performance boost is available as often as desired.

As in sports cars, the Sport Chrono Package also includes a separate PSM Sport mode. In a safe environment, ambitious drivers can take the Cayenne closer to its limits in this setting while PSM remains active in the background. PSM Sport mode requires manual selection manually and is available

First Porsche head-up display
Porsche's first head-up display can be found in the new Cayenne. The system generates a graphic display that appears to the driver as if around 2.3 metres away and is split into seven sections. The height, brightness and angle of the display can be adjusted via the PCM. Depending on how the car is equipped, the driver can choose between up to four presets in which different driving information can be displayed based on preselection. The standard view provides information on activities and the status of the assistance systems. This allows recognised and currently applicable road signs to be displayed, for example, and navigation information to be presented when heading to a specific destination. In connection with the Sport Chrono Package, the relevant preset provides dynamic driving information such as speed, lap time and lap number. When the Sport Response function is activated, the driver can see the remaining function time in the head-up display. The Offroad preset, in conjunction with the optional Offroad package (not available for Cayenne E-Hybrid), provides the driver with information on side tilting, steering movement, incline and Hill Descent Control. The fourth preset in the user-defined display allows the user to create their own individual configuration from the individual display features via the PCM. Irrespective of the preset selected, the system displays information relevant to the situation. Accordingly, for example, when the car is at risk of a collision, a large warning symbol is displayed. Relevant symbols are displayed for incoming calls or when voice commands are activated.
