Many gleeful social media users tweeted their delight about the bird that pooped on the president.

President Biden was in Iowa to talk about how his administration is planning to lower the price of everyday goods and services.

While the alleged bird incident is an amusing distraction, it is clear inflation is a huge political problem for the Biden administration ahead of this year's midterm elections.

America's annual inflation rate has surged to 8.5 per cent, which is the largest 12 month increase since 1981.
