2024 Planner Decision: From the Hobonichi Cousin to Aura Estelle

A short video explaining why I’m moving from the Hobonichi Techo Cousin to @auraestelle’s undated A5 planner for 2023.

I fell into the Hobonichi rabbit hole in 2023, going all in with the Techo Cousin and Weeks formats. I phased out of using the Weeks because I was so invested in my Techo, but I found that over time, I just wasn't making use of the daily pages with any real purpose. It became more pressure to complete them at the end of the day or week... but I loved everything else about the planner. After doing some digging and getting recommendations from other planner friends, I decided to go with the Aura Estelle A5 Undated planner (https://www.auraestelle.com/products/a5-complete-weekly-vertical) for 2024. It has everything I love about the Techo Cousin, but is in ONE book versus split into two, and it doesn't have the daily pages (but provides two blank pages after each weekly spread). I think it's going to be a better fit for my lifestyle and I've already started customizing it in advance of my 2024 start date.
