Historical Costumers and their Hogwarts Houses | A Battle of Nerds

Many, many moons ago, I began developing a theory that the majority of historical costumers (& costubers) were Ravenclaws. Due to our interest in quirky, weird, and slightly nerdy pursuits (i.e. lots of Luna Lovegood-ness happening in our subculture and community), and the large number of people I met who were Ravenclaws. However, over time, I began to flesh out my theory of what kind of costumers were Slytherin, Hufflepuffs, and Gryffindors, because we can't all be Ravenclaws. (or..can we?)

So, I sat down and began to work on this video, and I consider a sort of love letter to our glorious costuming and cosplay community. I am so blessed to be friends with so many of you, and to be able to be a part of this group of incredible dressmakers and tailors. You all inspire me every day.

So whether you're just learning how to sew, or you're busting out the latest incredible Victorian gowns, I hope you all enjoy watching this Harry Potter x Historical Costumer video as much as I enjoyed making it.
