Sam Duboff: In Support of the Middle Child
Eldest children are natural-born leaders who change the world. Youngest children are rebels who drive change. But what to make of the middle child? Middles are depicted in popular culture as neglected, low in self-esteem, and annoying, but that's not a fair picture. Sam Duboff--a middle child himself and the son of two middle children--aims to redefine what it means to be a middle child and, ultimately, argues that true power is realized when we stop striving for the top and live life--proudly--from the middle.
