White sharks feeding on a whale carcass off Cape Cod

Researchers on the R/v Aleutian Dream kicked off the 2020 white shark field season by observing three sub adult white sharks feeding on a Minke whale carcass near Monomoy NWR off Cape Cod. All three sharks were tagged with acoustic tags during the observation. Research is being conducted by scientists from the Massachusetts Division of Marine Fisheries and the Atlantic White SHark Conservancy.
