In the new movie ‘Roman J. Israel, Esq.’ we follow Denzel Washington as the title character, an idealistic loner of a lawyer who gets fired and struggles to make ends meet, so he turns to drastic actions. Interestingly enough, Roman is a very unlikeable guy, making the film largely a character study.
