An Isolation Transformer Built from Power Supplies
An isolation transformer is built from a pair of linear power supplies that were discarded as e-waste. The resulting unit can be used as a 120V AC power source that is electrically isolated from the wall outlet it is plugged into, in order to help safely troubleshoot other electronic equipment that is normally powered directly from the wall.
