Know Me Through RP: Building Connections Through Roleplay | Eitan Ezor | TEDxBinghamtonUniversity

Suffering from social anxiety his entire life, Eitan Ezor began his college experience worried about how he was going to make friends. After joining his university’s LARP (live action role-playing) club, these pressures and anxieties that once controlled him vanished as he began to flourish. Eitan talks about his experience and the benefits of playing an original character, and how you may do a similar thing without even noticing. Eitan Ezor is a computer science student originating from Long Island, New York. Possessing incredible creativity, Eitan dreams of becoming a video game developer to share his ideas with the world. He also dabbles in other artistic pursuits such as writing, drawing, acting, and most recently, live action role-playing. After struggling with debilitating social anxiety for many years, Eitan found roleplay to be an exceptional outlet to express himself and meet new people. He hopes to share his experiences with others struggling in these trying times. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
