How to debadge a car (VAG)

So a friend of mine had a pair of new badges he gave me. Thought I'd 'rebadge' the Skrotum. Tried to make it concise , if you need any more specific help just ask.

I guess if you're putting a new badge on your car this helps but I guess debadging is half of this so hopefully it helps anyone who wants to badge delete their car too.

Car - 01 Skoda Octavia 'The Skrotum'

Tools:
Plastic Flat trim remover,
'Laser' 90° pilot point screw driver(or a flat head screw driver).
Heat gun/Hair dryer(optional)

Consumables:
T-cut
Upol Thinners/Petrol/Alcohol

Meguiars quick detailing spray
Cloths

1. Gently run a heat gun/Hair dryer round the area to soften the glue.

2. Mask of the area

3. Slight a flat plastic blade trim remover under the edge of the badge.

4. Slide an angled pilot pin or flat head between badge and plastic blade and lever up ,taking care of the paint, until the badge starts to lift and then remove.

5. Using heat, thinners(or a form of alcohol/Alcohol wipe) , the flat blade trim remover or all 3; remove the old adhesive pad and glue.

6. T-cut (unless your a super duper detailer in which case you should use the most expensive 'cutting compound' you can find) the area till any sign of the badge has gone (or until you're happy).

7. Clean and polish area to your satisfaction.

8. Replace badge being careful not to bend, bow or damage it. I slightly bent the badge by pressing too hard. Doh!

Go inside and wish you were replacing a Ferrari badge.
