FIFTEEN DECADE ROSARY (w/ full prayers and background music)

A fifteen decade Rosary involves praying all 3 sets of the Mysteries of the Most Holy Rosary (Joyful, Sorrowful and Glorious). It can be a lofty exercise, make no doubt. However, it is well worth it! I have noticed over the years of my own praying of the Rosary, as well as speaking with others; that oftentimes we can become distracted, and then not properly focus on our prayers and meditations. This can happen even when simply praying the shorter single Rosary (a.k.a. a five decade Rosary; or, one set of Mysteries).

In regards to these possible distractions and the possibility of the lack of focus, I have put together some Rosaries which include specific thoughts to meditate upon while praying each “Hail Mary” of the Mysteries. I have also included a singular virtue which appears right before each Mystery’s “Our Father”. Oh!! There is also background music as a sort of white noise to help both with the distractions and the focus.

This video is – as mentioned above – a 15-decade Rosary with full prayers and background music. I have also made videos for each set of Mysteries (Joyful, Sorrowful and Glorious) which also include background music and the full prayers. In addition to these, I have made videos of different variations. Let me explain. I fully understand that there are those who would prefer to have no music being played in the background; this could in-and-of-itself be a distraction. So, I have made a full set of Rosaries without said music. I also figure that there are some who enjoy the leader/responder dynamic. So I have made Rosary videos that have myself leading off the prayer, followed by a silent space for you the listener to do the response (another set has multiple voices doing the responses to give it more of a group feel). Naturally, there is another group of Rosaries which have neither music nor responses; and I am toying with the idea of having a group that has no audio all-together, and a set with just the music – for those who do not want to hear my monotonous voice. LOL

I think that includes all of the potential scenarios; except for one other: I will also have Rosaries with kids doing the responses, and maybe even the leading too.

[Note: Currently I do not have all of the videos made and/or uploaded. I am new to this whole YouTube thing and this whole experience has been quite the learning process. I am thinking I will have playlists that support each category when the time comes.]

For those curious about the music…

I have composed a unique arrangement of classical pieces to play as background music while the prayers are being said and the meditations are being, well, mediated upon. I feel this can work as a white noise (as mentioned above) to help with distractions and losing focus. The pieces used are: Schubert’s “Ave Maria”, Beethoven’s “Moonlight Sonata”, Liszt’s “Consolation No. 3”, and “Gabriel’s Oboe” by Ennio Morricone. I have given my arrangement the title of “Our Lady’s Moonlight”. It is three movements of these various pieces, most involving a trio of clarinet, cello, and piano; and a couple are quintets, adding the flute and French horn to the ensemble.
