Michigan police officer rescues choking newborn

A police officer in Sterling Heights, Michigan rescued a choking baby during a tense situation that was captured on the officer's dashcam last Thursday.

The baby's mother was shouting and crying in distress as officer Cameron Maciejewski's car pulled up outside a house.

Maciejewski took the infant girl in his arms and successfully cleared her airway as her distraught mother fell to the ground while crying.

The baby was then taken to the hospital to be evaluated.

Police later said that the baby was in good condition and back with the family.
