Ex-Spanish football chief Rubiales receives restraining order

Former Spanish football chief Luis Rubiales has been issued a restraining order in Madrid’s high court.

It comes after he allegedly sexually assaulted footballer Jenni Hermoso at the FIFA Women’s World Cup final.

Prosecutors asked for a restraining order while allegations of sexual assault and coercion are being reviewed.

Mr Rubiales has been ordered by a judge to not approach within 200 metres of the footballer.

Ms Hermoso’s attorney insists the incident was a nonconsensual kiss.
