Holly Rey Wins Female Pop Artist Of The Year 2022

South African Artist, Holly Rey,  bagged another award on Saturday the 15th at the first ever Basadi In Music Awards. The awards have created a much needed platform to celebrate female talent and unique achievements in the industry. All nominees and winners are voted for by the public. 

Holly Rey says "Winning this Best Female Pop Artist Of The Year affirmed that the music I make resonates with a wider audience than I could ever have imagined. As an independent Female Artist and Record Label owner there is a sweeter sense of achievement in winning an award based on votes by the people for the people."

Holly Rey accepted the award on Saturday the 15th of October after performing at two sold out festivals that day. The Artists performed a full 1 hour set at the sold out BMW M Fest in Kyalami followed by a set as the Headline Artists at the Jo'burg Gin Fest. The Gin Fest which took place at Monte Casino had pre-sold 6000 tickets.
