Exploring Hara Arena after the Tornado | Abandoned Ohio (2020)

In this video we explore the Abandoned Hara Arena in Dayton, Ohio. A huge convention center featuring a hockey arena, concert stage, bar, ballroom, and much more.

This massive 165K SQFT event center in Ohio closed in 2016 after serving the local community for 50 years. It was named Hara Arena after its founders Harold and Ralph Wampler. So what happened? The Wampler Family empire collapsed do to an interfamily feud over the founders estate. A 20 year battle. But the community had hope of a triumphant return with a new investor but then in May of 2019 its fate was sealed. An EF4 tornado ripped through the property leaving only a shell of memories. Since 1956 Ohioans came for hockey games, home shows, concerts, professional wrestling, and let's not forget Hamvention.
