THOSE GOLDEN LARCH TREES, Larch Valley Hike, Moraine Lake #hiking

September 29/2018
Larch Valley is the most popular hike at Moraine Lake in the fall. The Larch trees have turned a brilliant golden color. This hike is rated moderate, and is 8 kilometers out and back, and has an elevation gain of 535 meters.

We did this hike on Saturday September 29/2018. We arrived at the Lake Louise overflow parking lot just after 10AM, and took the FREE bus up to Moraine Lake. I knew the trail would be busy based on the cars in the parking lot, and I was right. It was overcast at Moraine Lake, but as we started our hike the snow started falling. The higher we went, the heavier the snow came down. The clouds obscured the mountain views, but the Larch trees were beautiful with the snow on them.

I welcome any comments you may have. If you enjoyed this video please give it a thumbs up. This is my 8th video, and if you would like to see my previous videos, just Subscribe. I put out a video every week. Next week i will be hiking up to Bow Glacier Falls, in Banff National Park, along the Icefields Parkway. CHEERS
