Mother accused of shooting sons & tried to shoot neighbor; children not expected to survive: DA

A mother is in custody after officials say she shot her two sons and tried to shoot her neighbor Monday morning in Bucks County, Pennsylvania.

Trinh T. Nguyen, 38, was arrested a few hours later without incident at the Washington Crossing United Methodist Church on the 1800 block of Wrightstown Road in Washington Crossing.

Bucks County District Attorney Matt Weintraub said authorities were dispatched at 7:05 a.m. to a home in the 110 block of Timber Ridge Road.

Officials said Nguyen attempted to shoot her 22-year-old neighbor, but the gun failed to fire.

"Trin Nguyen handed him a box of photos outside of the residence and asked him to give the box to her ex-husband whom he worked with. When (he) turned around to face Nguyen, he saw Nguyen pointing a black revolver to his face. Nguyen then pulled the trigger two times, but by the grace of God, the gun did not fire," said Weintraub.
