WPI researchers convert plastic waste into fuel, working towards cleaner oceans.
At WPI, our researchers are tackling the issue of ocean pollution by converting plastic waste like the kind found in the Great Pacific Garbage Patch into fuel. This fuel could be used to power the ships that are dedicated to cleaning the ocean and removing plastic debris. By turning ocean waste into a valuable resource, we are actively working towards a cleaner and more sustainable future for our oceans.
