More information about the video content bellow:

1. Khabarovsk Krai is a federal subject (a krai) of Russia. It is geographically located in the Far East region of the country and is a part of the Far Eastern Federal District.
2. Until the middle of the 19th century, the territory of present Khabarovsk, in accordance with the Treaty of Nerchinsk, was a neutral territory between the Ch’ing Empire and the Russian Empire. In 1858, an agreement was signed, according to which the entire left bank of the Amur became part of the Russian Empire, the right bank passed into the possession of China. After the agreement was signed, a military post named Khabarovka was founded. It was named after Yerofey Khabarov, the Russian explorer of the 17th century.
3. The administrative centre of the krai is the city of Khabarovsk, which is home to roughly half of the krai's population and the largest city in the Russian Far East (just ahead of Vladivostok).
4. There is a popular urban legend according to which under Khabarovsk is a real underground city with streets, buildings and a network of tunnels. Some townspeople believe that many buildings of Khabarovsk are interconnected by underground passages, and secret passages allegedly lead from the city to the Amur River. Nevertheless, diggers and other adventurers have not yet been able to find any trace of this metropolis beneath the surface of the Earth.
5. Often overlooked due to its proximity to Vladivostok, Khabarovsk could easily be a highlight in the long line of predominately dull cities along the Trans-Siberian Railway. But while most cities look their best when the sun is out, in few is the effect as profound as in Khabarovsk – attractive parks, beaches, outdoor beer tents with live music, pretty girls promenading and classic architecture await if the weather gods favour you.
6. Shantar Islands, one of the most beautiful and unique places of unspoiled nature, are another natural attraction of this region. The inaccessibility of the islands allowed to preserve pristine nature. Shantarsky Islands are a habitat of whales, seals, killer whales.
7. The Trans-Siberian proper goes from Moscow to the Pacific terminus of Vladivostok.
