UPDATE: One of the viewers of this video asked about the Quietcomforts for running and how they are affected by wind noise. I did a half-marathon distance trail run over the weekend and ran with the Quietcomforts instead of the Sports to put these questions to a decent test. First off, the Quietcomforts feel big and heavy for this use. At no point did they fall out, or even de-stabilise, but they were much more noticeable than the Sports. The weight and length of the QCs also meant that they 'bounced' slightly with each footfall. This gave rise to a quite unpleasant "whump whump" sound being pushed into the ear. Also the QCs are seriously affected by wind noise. On a completely calm day, they are fine for walking, but as soon as you start running, they pick up a bit of the wind noise from your forward momentum. My test run was on a moderately breezy day (13mph winds) and the wind noise in the QCs was very considerable when running into the wind. I actually tried to run into the wind with the active noise cancellation switched off, and it was intolerably loud. Like standing next to a loud engine. Simple summation: the QCs are most definitely not best suited for running, or for undisturbed listening in windy conditions.
