What makes one successful is a person’s reaction to an event | Siri Gangireddy | TEDxYouth@Southlake
What makes one successful is a person’s reaction to an event and not the event itself. Siri is an 8th-grade student who currently attends Carroll Middle School in Southlake. Since life is short but valuable, Siri wants to live her life by three rules. Number one is that she tries to explore her options to the fullest extent. Using this rule, Siri has found many hobbies such as playing tennis, reading fantasy books, listening to music, biking, swimming, and playing percussion. Number two is that when she has fun, she also needs to deal with the responsibility. She has experienced this first hand as an owner of a 2-year-old goldendoodle since the dog was 2 months old. Number three is that no matter how hard something seems, try to do it multiple times before giving up. Siri has done this before by building a robot in robotics. Siri doesn't know what she wants to be when she grows up but she knows that the career will incorporate one of her passions and make her happy. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
