Hot Wheels: Race Off is a side scrolling physics based racer where players simply have two controls, acceleration on the right and braking on the left. Furthermore, these controls also adjust the tilt levels when airborne. If falling backwards then braking will tip the nose down, whilst accelerating will pull the front of the car up.

Winning races and pulling often impressive jumps, stunts and flips will earn coins and XP which can be spent upgrading cars and unlocking new courses.
