This talk was given at a local TEDxSnoIsleLibraries event and produced independently of the TED Conferences. Ben Hempstead is an engineer and aerospace executive who enjoys the trust and transparency of a horizontal organization.

Ben is a mechanical engineer and chief of staff at ElectroImpact, Inc. Ben has a broad range of experience in aerospace machine tool and fixture design, manufacturing, and project management. As he likes to say, he gets paid to have fun while building cool stuff. His diverse tasks range from structural analysis to representing his company and the aerospace industry before state and local governments.
