Pokemon Scarlet/ Violet Will Mark A REBOOT For Pokemon - Gen 9

Today there was a Pokemon reveal and we were expecting Pokemon Legend's Arceus DLC but Instead we got Generation 9 revealed. Pokemon Scarlet and Violet version for the nintendo switch set in a Spain Pokemon region with 3 new starters Pokemon Fuecoco, Quaxly, sprigatito. I am wondering if these new Pokemon games in 2022 will act as a soft reboot for the Pokemon sereis
