VAW-113 WESTPAC 2018

FAQ's/Comments:
1. The air conditioning cannot dry the air enough in hot/humid environments so often comes out as fog by our feet and out of our eyebrow panel.

2. The music in my video is the Entourage theme (which we watched all the time on cruise), a classic Van Halen song, and a hit song at the time we all listened to in the ready room. If you don't like my song choices, please keep it to yourself and enjoy the video muted.

3. We can't actually smoke in the airplane, it was a joke with an unlit cigar and cigarette.

4. We aren't holding hands - the copilot takes a defensive position behind the power levers in the final seconds of flight so he his able to pull the power lever lock aft after we trap so we can pull the power levers up to check to see if we have the preconditions in order to bring the propellers into the beta range and safely taxi around the flight deck.

5. Most guys grow mustaches as a funny tradition going back decades.

6. We 'hold what we have' on touchdown rather than go to military power like a jet because we have instantaneous thrust from our propellers and do not have the spool up time of a turbofan engine.
