No dig garden fifth summer: veg, fruit, flowers, intense cropping and easy weeding.
Five years since I mulched a weedy field, compare with this video of my first summer in 2013 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HATC3rG6NbQ.
No dig means surface feeding of soil organisms, which then aerate soil and make food available to plants: see how this results in my abundance of veg, fruit and flowers, and few weeds. Discover more in my other videos including fourth summer https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QVY4SJt4mzg
I have written nine books and there is much free information on my website https://www.charlesdowding.co.uk/.
Filmed & edited by Edward Dowding https://edowding.net, August 2017.
The early photos of me are by Stephanie Hafferty who helped so much with my move in 2012/13, with ideas, encouragement and help. I now have around 40 hours help a week in the growing season, and give about 40 hours myself. The garden is 3/4 acre/3000m2, of which a third is cropped for vegetables and some fruit.
For a quick and concise outline of how to achieve harvests like I do, I recommend my Diary book which we ship worldwide http://www.charlesdowding.co.uk/product/charles-dowdings-vegetable-garden-diary/, or it may be cheaper to buy from Amazon in your country.
For another take on Homeacres' no dig, see Huw Richards' film of August 2017 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XCAAL1saPzM
