‘Please do better’: Yes campaign under fire for use of drag queen
Sky News host Chris Kenny has asked the Yes campaign for the Voice to Parliament referendum to “please do better” after they launched it in the United Kingdom with a drag queen singing ‘You’re the Voice’.
Mr Kenny said the Yes campaign “can’t help themselves” from running a “feelgood campaign” and a “leftist campaign”.
“One based on emotion and the vibe rather than the nuts and bolts,” he said.
“A more conservative campaign pitched at mainstream voters would have focused on the nuts and bolts for sure.”
“That’s supposed to garner votes for the Voice – you’d vote no just to get rid of jingoistic flim flam like that, wouldn’t you?
“Please do better.”
