My Dearest - Guilty Crown OP1 [Piano] - Live in Taipei
This is the third and final clip I am going to upload of my live performance in Taipei on 19th July 2014.
I was doing the moderation myself between every pieces I played and I usually just said one or two lines about the anime itself and its music and how it influenced me.
However, when I reached the final part of my program, (nearly after two hours of nonstop playing), I couldn't help but feel a bit emotional, because of the three guilty crown pieces I transcribed. My Dearest, Euterpe and Bios, they all mean so much to me.
They differ a lot from my other transcriptions because each of them were created in a time period, where I felt really lost in my life: Feeling unhappy with my degree course, having struggles with best friends, losing confidence in yourself, being anxious about the future....I experienced a lot of things during that time period
But still, I returned to my trusted piano in the end.
Because the most effective way for me to vent out my negative feeling is by playing the piano and forget everything else.
And with each end of my crisis, I have learned something new, and I promised myself to make everything better the next time.
...
Well, after I finished playing the last note in "My Dearest", after remembering all the things I have been through, remembering the emotional attachment I had to this piece, remembering the long way from the humble beginnings of my Animenz youtube channel to the live performance now, playing in front of a crowd in Taipei, I couldn't help but to smile a little bit in the end.
Because in that one moment, I was feeling true happiness.
Not because of the following applause, not because I succeeded to perform my most difficult transcritiption I ever made. It's because I finally found my real purpose in my life: And that's making other people happy by simply providing anime piano music.
Thank you everyone, who came to my Taipei concert, and of course, a big thank you to you viewers as well, because I wouldn't came that far without your support!
