Ganalu Falls is located at Ganalu, Malvalli Taluk, Mandya District, Karnataka. The Shimsha river flows down to form the Ganalu Waterfalls. It is surrounded by rocky terrain and requires a little bit of trek to reach the final place. The Shimsha river further flows down towards Shimshapura Hydro Electric Plant. This place is accessible to an extent by two-wheelers and not much by four-wheeler. The path to the waterfall is a narrow mud road. It is a lesser-known waterfall. Not many people are around this waterfall other than locals and bikers.

This is a good place to trek, but you will have to be very careful for the initial 30-45 mins of the trek. You will have to negotiate with steep inclination, from the very beginning of the trek. This is the most difficult part of the trek as there is no steps, path or any railings. Once you negotiate this part, the path becomes a bit easy. However, the fort entrance is not very easily visible. Once you reach the top, you will feel that its worth for all your efforts. On the top, you can see some ruined wall, on which you can walk carefully and take some snaps of the view.

Hutridurga also is known as Uttari Betta is a small hill located around 65 km away from Bangalore. It is an easy trek to do & can be done by people of all age groups.

It's 3-3.5 Hours drive from Bangalore and you can spend a nice weekend or have a stopover at this hill station en route to some other destination.
