How To: Convert a Ceramics Kiln into Digital Heat Treating Oven - PID Controller

I took an old ceramics kiln and converted it to run on a PID controller. The process is simple once you understand that this is essentially a really large oven. The basic components are the same, it can just achieve much higher temperatures.

As with anything involving high voltage. If you are not a qualified electrician I cannot advise you take this on. High voltage is dangerous and should be handled only by those who understand it.
