A multidisciplinary research and education center at the University of Maryland is developing computer systems that can replicate human sensory skills like eyesight, hearing and perception. The Center for Automation Research is currently working on new technologies that will make our lives safer, healthier—and with the help of a personal robot chef—perhaps a little more stress free.
