How 3 women with mental illness impacted my life | Christine Burych | TEDxWilmington
In this talk, Christine shares her experience of how three women with a mental illness changed the trajectory of her life for the better by helping her reshape the way she viewed those living with mental health issues. Instead of coming from a place of power over others, and wanting to help or fix people, she learned to look for the gifts and listen from a place of non-judgement. This in turn allowed her to watch and listen for wisdom which framed her experiences and life's mission. From the front lines of community mental health to senior management, to global consulting and training, Christine has pursued her life’s passion on raising awareness of mental health issues in the workplace and providing tools on how to develop resilience.
As the President of StarlingBrook Leadership Consulting, Christine infuses every leadership training with guidance and awareness of our mental health and the impact it has on how we show up as leaders. Awareness is great but action is better. Globally, Christine teaches leaders how to support mental health issues in the workplace to enhance compassion and productivity. She is an executive coach and certified resilience practitioner. Some of her clients have included, Toyota, PepsiCo, Porter Airlines, Staples, Deloitte and first responder.
She is an Amazon number 1 best seller and focuses on liberating people from their limiting beliefs. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
